ARTWORK: BULBOT WIRIKUTA

ONE OF A KIND

ARTIST: BULBOT ART TOYS (MEXICO)

Measures: High: 8.5cm, Large: 10.5cm, Width: 5.5cm

Materials: Resin, acrylic paint and enamel.

Technique: Handmade work, resin casting in silicone molds, the piece has a base layer of acrylic paint and the rest is made with pointillism with a brush and finished in acrylic enamel, unique piece.

Story: In Mexico there is a great variety of cultures and one of the most representative is the Wixarika or Huichol, which every year gather in Wirikuta, which is a sacred ceremonial center, to ask for good harvest, water and honor their gods and mother earth . It is a culture full of mysticism.

This piece is a small tribute to this culture that has stood the test of time.

BIO: Uriel Rodriguez is an industrial designer from the city of Mexico and is the creditor of Bulbots Art Toys. Up to the present date he has made more than 1300 creatures.
For me, the creation of an Art Toy is not only to make a character, in them are reflected feelings, dreams and experiences, they give me the freedom to experiment and play. It is the incessant concern to create more and more.
Curiosity and imagination are the constant in the creative process, I like to develop the details that each piece will take, thinking about each one of the elements, adapting them and interpreting them in each Art Toy.
Throughout this journey, hundreds of collections have passed, from spaceships, warriors, mutants, animals, fantasy beings and some more abstract themes, to create a whole universe of Bulbots Art Toys.
