This work is part of “Dhu Stories” by Dhani Barragán, the series in which the artist builds his own universe inhabited by characters, creatures, and hybrid figures where the pop, the mythological, and the animal coexist within the same imaginary. Here, anime, comics, cartoons, sneakers, and contemporary visual culture come together in a figure with a strong visual presence, elevated in this edition through a more sophisticated and luminous finish.

The golden details shift in tone and brightness depending on the angle of the light, generating a visual vibration that photography cannot fully capture. It is an effect that can only be fully discovered in front of the artwork itself.

Dhani Barragán (Seville, 1989) develops a language in which Neo Pop, graphic surrealism, and contemporary iconography coexist. His work has been exhibited in Spain, Indonesia, and the United States, is part of private collections across Europe, Asia, and the Americas, and he also maintains a close collaboration with Art Toy Gama.
