Painting by Celipe Perroloco "Corrupted Flower—Sketch & Final Work"
$235.00
Description
A smiling flower: a symbol of joy and optimism. But here, the smile does not feel entirely clean.
With its aggressive, dark and irregular strokes, the image begins to feel sarcastic. Almost uncomfortable. As if it had grown in a rough environment.
On the right, the 2020 sketch: a first version made on watercolor paper, where the splashes, broken lines and interrupted strokes transmit a sense of mental speed. As if Célipe Perroloco needed to get the image out of his head before it disappeared.
On the left, the final 2021 work on recycled cardboard: a raw support that intensifies its rebellious, visceral energy.
With thick, irregular strokes loaded with black paint, the piece does not seek technical perfection. It seeks a direct, emotional expression.
This set belongs to Corrupted Flower, a series by Célipe Perroloco where the flower stops being a friendly symbol and becomes a contaminated, nervous and strangely alive image, with an energy close to Neo Pop and Pop Surrealism.
