Here, the sparrow, the artist’s alter ego, stands on the remains of the character, as if after the explosion only one thing were left clear: the icon has fallen, and now it is the artist who takes its place.

Dhani Barragán (Seville, 1989) develops a visual language in which Neo Pop, graphic surrealism, and popular iconography coexist, transforming seemingly light references into scenes of greater emotional density. His works are part of private collections across Europe, Asia, and the Americas.
