BIO ARTISTIC: The Malaga-born artist Javier Calleja, a Fine Arts graduate, combines the innocence of the childhood universe with ironic and sharp criticism in his work. His creations, influenced by comics, Japanese anime, and Pop Art, take the form of installations, murals, and pieces that invite viewer interaction.
His influences include comics, Japanese anime, Surrealism, and Pop Art. Calleja's work has been exhibited in prominent galleries and museums such as Nanzuka Underground (Tokyo), Aisho Nanzuka (Hong Kong), Dio Horia (Mykonos), the Contemporary Art Center of Malaga, and Parco Museum (Tokyo), among others. He has also participated in major art fairs like Art Basel Hong Kong, ARCO Madrid, and Zona MACO. His creations have been featured in international publications like Juxtapoz and Hypebeast.
