There is something close to lowbrow art, to a gothic sensibility filtered through the direct language of cardboard, the raw stroke and contemporary visual culture.

The figure keeps an apparently friendly, almost naïve appearance. But that first impression begins to break when the details appear: the smile that is too intense, the empty eyes, the strange gesture, the wounded flower, the sharp object in the hand.
The black, frantic and irregular stroke brings a feeling of anxiety, repressed energy and internal movement.

Everything seems to take part in a small emotional scene where the sweet and the disturbing do not contradict each other: they feed each other.
