This fine print belonged to “DHU Universe”, the artistic, narrative, and conceptual world created by Spanish artist Dhani Barragán. A universe marked by a mix of Neo Pop and Pop Surrealism, inhabited by anthropomorphic beings that play with, consume, or cook characters from our pop visual culture.

But don’t worry. This artwork was part of a special series of 5 fine prints, and there are still a few individual numbers available from the other 4 prints in the set.

In “Deconstructed Pop”, the artist reinterprets characters from cartoons, manga, and anime as worn-out plush figures: open bodies, broken seams, visible stuffing, eroded by years of consumption inside our visual imagination.
