In “The Mouse is mine now”, Moi Martos pushes the pop icon into a process of symbolic decomposition. The stains, the organic forms and the skeletal remains suggest that the character is breaking apart to make way for something freer, rawer and more uncomfortable.

It is no longer just a familiar image. Now it is flesh. Now it is rebellion.
The smile is still there, but it no longer tries to be liked. Now it works as a signal of insurgency.

With more than 15 years of professional experience, Moi Martos moves naturally between ink, painting and muralism. He has participated in exhibitions in various galleries, created murals for city councils and public institutions, and left his mark at high-level tattoo and illustration conventions, where he has been recognized with national awards in both tattooing and sculptur
