Or, in other words: classic Japanese animation and the spectacle of professional wrestling; skate culture and underground aesthetics; video games and alternative cultural spaces; the Art Toy transformed into an artistic and collectible object; and the instantly recognisable optimism of Pop Art.

Each reference preserves its own story, yet within "Drunkers" they all speak the same language: that of Judas Arrieta, one of the most versatile, recognisable and transgressive contemporary Basque artists of his generation.
For more than thirty years, Arrieta has developed a distinctive visual language by fusing European artistic traditions with manga, anime, video games and Asian popular culture.
