The title takes us straight into mythology: a winged horse, majestic, divine, a symbol of power, purity, and elevation.
But Célipe Perroloco does not give us a solemn creature. Or maybe he does.

Only here, its solemnity does not come from marble or classical myth. It comes from somewhere else: from a strange pony that recalls the imaginary world of fantasy toys, painted in blue, pink, and white, but contained by a black, sharp, irregular line.

That thorny line surrounds the figure like a small emotional defense. It prevents the work from becoming simply sweet. It gives it tension. It gives it wound. It gives it character.

This is part of Célipe Perroloco’s artistic language: the heroic becomes vulnerable, the celestial becomes earthly, and light begins to reveal its shadow.
