With his small fez hat and cymbals in hand, this character seems to carry the programmed joy of those old wind-up mechanical toys.

The character appears trapped in a loop: ready to clash his metal discs again and again, trying to produce movement, joy, and spectacle.
And yet, behind that friendly appearance, there is a nervous, fragile, and unsettling energy.

The tension of the work is born from the line:
With those black, sharp, irregular lines surrounding the figure, artist Célipe Perroloco builds a territory between light and shadow, humor and damage, beauty and strangeness. The silhouette seems to vibrate, as if something fragile and restless were trying to escape through the edges.

The work is made with acrylic on recycled cardboard, a direct, humble material loaded with physical presence. Célipe does not try to hide the texture of the cardboard: he uses it. The marks, folds, and roughness become part of the piece, reinforcing that sense of fragility, wear, and rawness.
