This work by Dhani Barragán belongs to "Deconstructed Hypetrends", the series in which collectible sneakers and objects of contemporary urban desire appear opened up, exposed, and pushed to the limit. The reference to an iconic futuristic sneaker is clear, but here they stop functioning as an immaculate relic and become something more revealing: a hype icon crossed by the desire, status, and memory we project onto certain objects.

Dhani Barragán develops a visual language in which Neo Pop, graphic surrealism, and contemporary iconography coexist, turning recognizable references into images of greater tension and visual charge. His work is part of the CAC Málaga collection and of private collections across Europe, Asia, and the Americas.
