In this piece, the mocking and confident gesture of the character is interrupted by a presence that should not be there. The smile remains open, almost theatrical, but the gaze has been replaced by something else. Something dark has occupied the face.

From the skull emerges Krampuc, the artist’s own character: a krampusian creature, a destructive mental presence, a warning signal inside the image.

The series was born after RX Strip’s absence from social media and a reflection on a difficult time, marked by dark messages, fear, and the feeling that something external is constantly trying to occupy our minds.

In Portrait, RX Strip transforms familiar icons into surreal and psychological portraits. Pop characters become recognizable shells: figures stripped of their original magic and recontextualized in a more uncomfortable, more unsettling, but also more honest scenario.
