About ART:
Basajaun.....carved hawthorn.......this is a moveable peice it has drilled holes in the feet so it can be fixed stood on a plinth etc. All blackened parts of the carvings are treated with danish oil.
Basajaun as you may no is the Basque version of the bigfoot so i will let you provide the detail around the myth as you may no more. But basically The basajaun is a hairy wildman that lives in the woods in and around the Basque region.
The carving will be sent in a double box and bubble wrap which he usually makes from corrugated plastic.
Australian buyers this carving has no bark and no defects that will cause trouble at customs. He will add full details on the outside of the box such as wood type, heat treated, lemon oil, etc. He has successfully shipped works to Australia without problem.

BIOGRAPHY: Tach Pollars lives in the UK. He started collecting oak roots as a child when he moved close to the woods. He would wake up before school and grab a wheel barrow to haul his finds back home before school. Once he had a few he then spent time cleaning them back to their skeletal forms. His Dad had a shop in Brighton and allowed me to sell the roots on a stall outside.
Much later in life he came across the pile of discarded roots from childhood and decided to carve them...
