CONCEPT and STORY: Taliesin was inspired by the Welsh myth of a heroic Druid and Bard from the Mabinogion.

Is carved from sustainably sourced hawthorn wood. After carving the piece is burnished with various blow torches. This piece is hovowed out at the back to prevent further cracking.
There is a fixing on the back for wall hanging.

BIOGRAPHY: Tach Pollard lives in the UK. He started collecting oak roots as a child when he moved close to the woods. He would wake up before school and grab a wheel barrow to haul his finds back home before school. Once he had a few he then spent time cleaning them back to their skeletal forms. His Dad had a shop in Brighton and allowed me to sell the roots on a stall outside.

Much later in life he came across the pile of discarded roots from childhood and decided to carve them...
